Forza & GT aren't realistic. But they do bridge a gap between arcade racers and simulators in such a way that it's fairly convincing and also enjoyable to gamers that don't have the time/skills for real sims.Games like Forza & GT also need a pretty big budget.
Both for the graphics, physics. But also the licensing deals with car manufacturers to get real cars in the game. MS & Sony invest a lot of money in those, and there is no one who will do so for the PC. PC has some real racing simulators, but those are a bit too much for most, and also look a lot less impressive and have a limited scope (only 1 type of races for example) because of the limited budgets.I would love it if this game would be able to give us our GT/Forza.

The amount of ignorance in this thread is very high. 1st of all, i'll take rFactor everyday all day before AC. AC is just fairy dust, the devs can't even render a working suspension (the rear suspensions on the huayra) and in some case, they just cut corners and don't even model a real suspension (i.e the rear suspension on the 312T). RFactor as got an insane amount of cars created by the community, just with formula one, it covers thru out different years around 20 years of different seasons!Another exemple, shift 2 with mods, there's almost 400 cars.On GT and Forza, how are they real sim or arcade? Define simulation please?
DCS is a simulation, at the end of the day simulation is hard to define. GT and Forza do simulate real world series hence making them a simulation.
When it comes to driving physics, they don't reach a 1:1 scale. That'S where the racing games on PC shine.I could go on and on, but a lot of you guys are talking out of your ♥♥♥, because clearly you are limited in the knowledge of the available content and what defines a simulation.
